A correction belongs next to the claim it corrects
Report an error from any page. Reports are checked against the original record, not against the page, and material corrections are published with the prior wording intact.
What to include
The more precisely you point at the problem, the faster it gets fixed. A report that names the exact sentence and links a better source can usually be resolved the same day.
- The page URL and the exact statement you believe is wrong.
- A more current or more authoritative source, with a link, and a note on how it differs.
- Whether it changes the conclusion or only the wording. Both are worth reporting; they are handled differently.
How a report is handled
- The report is checked against the original source record, not against what the page says. If the source has changed, the source record is updated first.
- If the claim was never supported, the sentence is removed or rewritten down to what the source actually carries.
- If the underlying authority changed, the source is marked superseded, the new authority is added, and every page citing it is re-checked.
- The licensed reviewer confirms the corrected text before it publishes, exactly as with any other change.
- A material correction is logged below with its date, the prior wording, and the revised wording, and the page carries a Corrected status.
Typography, formatting, and broken-link fixes are made without a log entry. A change that alters what a reader would do is always logged.
Correction log
No material correction has been published yet.
This log is empty because the library is new, not because nothing will ever need correcting. When the first material correction publishes it will appear here with its date, its prior wording, and its revised wording, and it will stay here permanently.
Pages currently under review
43 published pages carry an Under review status. That status means a named licensed reviewer has not yet signed off on the insurance substance of the page. It is shown on the page itself and in the page's machine-readable record, so nothing on this site can claim a review that has not happened.
